Triple Chocolate Cocoa Krispies Treats
3 tablespoons butter
4 cups miniature marshmallows or 40 Jet-Puffed marshmallows
6 cups Cocoa Krispies (I use Kellogg’s Cocoa Krispies)
1/8 cup chocolate syrup (I use Hershey’s chocolate syrup)
1 can chocolate frosting (I use Betty Crocker; Hershey’s milk chocolate frosting)
2.5 ounce decorative sprinkles
Spray a 9 X 13 X 2-inch pan with non-stick spray. Set aside. Place butter and marshmallows in a large, microwave safe bowl. Microwave 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Add Cocoa Krispies and chocolate syrup. Stir until combined. Immediately pour in prepared pan. Use a non-stick sprayed spatula to press treats into an even layer. Wait 30 minutes before cutting or icing. Makes a 9 X 13-inch pan.
Ice treats with canned frosting. Scatter sprinkles on top. Cut and serve. Tip: For holiday themed treats cut treats into shapes using cookie cutters before icing. Ice then top with holiday themed sprinkles. (Example- Christmas, Halloween, or Fourth of July.) Don’t be tempted to add more than 1/8 cup chocolate syrup because the treats won’t set up!
