Halloween Apple Monsters are a nutritious snack for all ghosts and goblins!

Halloween Apple Monsters

1 large granny smith apple
Peanut butter or sunflower butter
Sunflower seeds without shells
2-3 strawberries
6-12 edible candy eyes (depending on if you use 1 or 2 eyes per monster)

Cut apple into 12 wedges. Slice strawberries. Use center slices for monster tongues.

For each monster, spread a thin layer of peanut butter or sunflower butter on one side of 2 wedges. Stick pointed end of sunflower seeds along circular edge of top slice for teeth. Attach 1 to 2 eyes to green peel of top slice with a small amount of peanut or sunflower butter.

Connect top and bottom of mouth by pressing the peanut or sunflower butter sides of apple wedges together leaving mouth ajar. Slide 1 strawberry slice into monster’s mouth for a tongue. 1 apple makes 6 yummy monsters.  Enjoy!
