Melanie’s Strawberry Cobbler

My dear friend, Melanie Aldridge, shared her famous strawberry cobbler recipe. Melanie’s Strawberry Cobbler has a top and bottom crust (who doesn’t want more crust?) and lots of juicy strawberry filling. Divine!

Melanie’s Strawberry Cobbler

Top and bottom pie crust for a 9-inch pie pan, unbaked
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Preheat oven to 425ºF. Prepare top and bottom crust. Reserve. Prepare strawberries. Reserve. Mix sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Add strawberries and stir until strawberries are coated with sugar mixture. Pour strawberries into bottom crust then dot with butter. Cover strawberries with upper crust. Crimp edges to seal. Cut vents in upper crust. Bake 45-55 minutes or until filling bubbles. Makes one, 9-inch cobbler. Enjoy!
